Hey Aisle Files Readers! You remember Matt and Alana, our Dream Date Weddings Giveaway winners? If not, you can get caught up here. Their beautiful summer wedding at The Glen Sanders Mansion is coming up quickly, I caught up with Alana and Matt and am pleased to present to you this sneak peek of their wedding.
On Sunday, July 31st 2011 The Glen Sanders Mansion will be host to a great party! Alana and Matt have chosen coral and ivory as their colors which will be accented not only in bridesmaids dresses and flowers but also in the centerpieces.
Matt and Alana are all about the personal touches, from the very beginning they have always wanted this day to be a reflection of them and their families. You might remember from their adorable proposal video that Alana and Matt are very involved in musical theater. This is a theme that they are continuing into their wedding in some unique ways. The program for their ceremony will have the same layout and look as a playbill. Naming their tables after songs from the five shows they have performed together (The Spitfire Grill, Bye Bye Birdie, Tick, Tick…Boom, The Fantasticks, and RENT) led them to come up with the idea of their for their place-cards which will be “tickets” to each of the five shows.
And of course we cannot forget Alana’s two adorable Jack Russel Terriers! Matt and Alana have always said they wanted their canines to be a part of the wedding, and they are still trying to figure out a good way to incorporate them and their energetic and rambunctious personalities! If they can behave for the ceremony, Ty will sport a tuxedo and Chloe a princess dress to fulfill their roles as ring bearer and flower girl.
Keeping with personal touches, not only do Alana and Matt have a family friend baking what is sure to be a gorgeous (and certainly delicious) wedding cake, but their photographer is also a family friend. Rounding out a great team of professionals is DJ Paul Malo, who is sure to make it a fun filled night of dancing!
Like any couple planning a wedding Alana and Matt have faced some challenges, the majority of which involve staying on budget, it gets hard! They have adopted some great money saving techniques like making their own invitations and centerpieces!
