Real Wedding Spotlight: Melinda & Ken

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

I just LOVE winter weddings so I was super excited when Melinda and Ken celebrated their big day just 2 days following Christmas with their closest family and friends here at Saratoga National Golf ClubElario Photography was on hand to photograph with Al Woodard on Video.  Kris Ann from Fleurtacious Designs provided the blooms and decor and the couple hired their favorite band BulletProof Messenger to entertain in the ballroom!  This was truly a romantic and intimate way to celebrate their love with close family and friends…enjoy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :)

Happy Birthday Aisle Files!!

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

I cannot believe it has been a whole year already here at Aisle Files!  It seems like only yesterday I was drafting the first post about my very own wedding and figuring out how the whole blog thing worked.

I want to extend a big thank you to all of our readers, the wedding professionals that have contributed this past year and all of the couples that have been willing to share their big day with us!

With a year behind us it is now time to move forward!  I am looking for your feedback to make Aisle Files even better in 2010.  Let me know what you love, what you want to see more of, what you could live without and what topics I have yet to blog about that you think are interesting!  As a token on our appreciation we will reward 4 lucky readers with a $50 universal gift card good at any of our restaurants.  Just leave a comment and 4 people will be drawn from those at random  on Monday 12/21.  You have until 4pm on Monday to comment!

So have a big slice of cake this weekend (and get to work on those comments) to celebrate the very first year of Aisle Files!

Real Wedding Spotlight: Colleen & Eric

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Colleen and Eric tied the knot at the beautiful Glen Sanders Mansion on October 30th.  Their ceremony took place in front of the fireplace at the Mansion with cocktail hour to follow on the all season patio!  Shannon from Wedding Planning Plus was on site while Music Man’s Mike Garrasi kept the party going all night with his awesome tunes.  The always amazing David from Renaissance supplied the luscious blooms while Tracey Buyce snapped away (and shared the stellar pics below!).  Enjoy!

Fun Find

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

My husband obsessively follows the Uni Watch Blog the way I obsessively read wedding magazines so I was thrilled to get this link from him this morning about incorporating a sports theme into the big day.  For those of you that don’t want pinstripes mixed in with your beautiful pin-tuck at the reception, the rehearsal dinner is a great place to have fun with a theme!

He is always on the look-out for wedding related articles (that he actually enjoys reading!) and this one is perfect for those couples looking to add a little athletic flair to their big day.  Enjoy!
