Follow Up…More Shoes!
Friday, April 30th, 2010Let’s get some shoes…
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010Need I say more?! I love shoes. I even love the goofy youtube.com video entitled “Shoes”…you know the one that will never ever in a million years get old by Liam Kyle Sullivan?!
I love shoes so much that I once purchased a pair of hot pink satin peep-toe pumps with a fabulous rosette detail that I hid in the trunk of my car for about a month so my husband wouldn’t find out about them…and how much I had spent! I also obsessed about my wedding shoes and ended up finding them online after an extensive and exhausting search for THE perfect pair. So today as I watched our fashionista marketing & sales assistant Kristina parade around in her fabulous shoes I was inspired to post some wedding shoe options that I found on theknot.com….enjoy!
Love love love the first pair here with the flower detail. Bonus; Blooms are always hotttt for spring!
This piece of art from Stuart Weitzman is fun and flirty while keeping it classy with the adorable feminine bow on top of the silver sparkle detail.
These fabulous pink pumps are very similar to the aforementioned heels I hid from the hubs….clearly worth every single penny.
Go strappy and sexy for a formal evening event with these stilettos!
Kate Spade will never let you down…case in point these adorable slingbacks with two of my favorite things: bows and bling.
Last but not least these are the shoes I wore on my big day. I thought for sure I would end up breaking the bank and blowing the wedding budget by spending a billion dollars on my wedding day shoes. Surprisingly I found these which were exactly what I wanted at a price that didn’t require me to hide the box in the trunk of my car. I needed a smaller heel seeing as I am 5’10″ (and refused to be taller than my new husband on my wedding day) and I wanted sparkle, a bow and shoes I could wear all night. Success!
What shoes are you wearing on the big day?! Email me at SarahC@EventsAtSNGC.com with your dream shoe pic and how you found your perfect pair!
Just Jen…And James!!
Saturday, April 10th, 2010You all met Jen and James a couple of weeks ago and as promised I am now delivering on the adorable proposal story…
AF: How did it happen? How did you propose?
James: Jen’s family has a Christmas pickle that her mother hides in the tree each year. It’s mainly for the younger kids but whoever finds it gets an extra gift.
So on Christmas Eve, before the family party, I drove to her Grandfather’s house and asked him if I could have Jen’s hand in marriage. Then I found this really nice poem expressing my love to her wrapped it around the Christmas pickle jar. On top of the poem I wrote a note instructing her to read the poem to herself facing the tree and not to turn around until she was finished.
The time had come; everybody was finished opening their gifts and I said to Jen “To get your gift you have to find the Christmas pickle”. All this time I had been playing it off that I wasn’t going to be able to get her a very nice gift for Christmas because we were kind of tight on money so who knows what she thought it was going to be. She headed to the tree (my heart was racing!!) and with her family behind me in her mothers’ living room I got down on one knee. When she was finished reading the poem she turned around. Already teary eyed from the poem she saw me on my knee and immediately started crying. I was crying, shaking, and was unable to speak. After a minute or so I finally asked her to marry me. It couldn’t have been any better!
AF: How did you come up with that idea?
James: I initially wanted to propose New Years Eve but I had the ring for awhile and just couldn’t wait that long. I spoke with her mother and told her I changed my mind on the proposal date. Knowing I wanted to do something with the tree, my mother-in-law mentioned the Christmas pickle and then the idea just came to me.
AF: Tell me about the ring! How did you find it?
James: Summer of 2009 Jen and I were walking down Broadway in Saratoga Springs and went into Gemset of Saratoga. We started browsing the store and Jen spotted a couple of rings she liked. She only tried one on and that was the one I eventually bought for her. It fit perfectly. It is a half carat 18k white gold vintage ring. November 2009 came a long and I remembered that particular ring she tried on and went back to the jewelry store. I was disappointed when I first went in because I didn’t see it, but then looked a little harder and spotted it. I purchased it and that was it.
AF: What does your dream wedding include?
Jen: James!! Romance, close friends and family, amazing food and lot’s of it!, 1930′s music, decor and Old Hollywood Glamour. Add New Year’s Eve in and to me it’s a dream I couldn’t even fathom as a little girl.
James: Marrying the woman I was meant to spend my life with.
Real Wedding Spotlight: Kris Ann & JP
Saturday, April 10th, 2010These two are typically behind the scenes making weddings fabulous (with their mad photo and flower skills!) but just a couple of weeks ago it was their turn! This gorgeous couple tied the knot on March 6th at the Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs, NY. Mansion Catering provided the delicious spread along with a host of all star vendors: New York Players, DJ Paul Malo, Al Woodard, John Charles Cook (ceremony music), Renaissance & Fleurtacious team members on flowers and decor and Jessica Claire Photography.
JP loves his watches….
So adorable to see this wedding pro get a little nervous before seeing his beautiful bride!
After a quick hair and veil change it was off to tie the knot….
I am totally digging the swanky lounge furniture. Gorgeous.
Ben and Jerry really know how to complete a party…
My favorite shot of the night…look at those lovebirds!! Awwwwww!!
Congratulations JP & Kris Ann from the entire Mazzone Management Family!!
